EVENT DESIGN AND COLLATERAL
A collaborative project working on the event design for the International Food Design Conference.
The Gala Dinner was the final event of a three-day International Food Design Conference held in Dunedin. Our aim was to break boundaries and redefine what a ‘conference dinner’ could be. We worked to create a more theatrical experience, whilst developing an atmosphere that complimented the work of the food design students and school.
The design elements we provided worked with the concept that each course of the dinner acted as a different scene, communicating the idea of transformation throughout the entire dinner. As a group we were involved in the transformation of space through lighting, sound, video and projection. We also designed physical collateral for each scene of the dinner to shine a light on 'the people behind the plate'.
