I love illustration, whether it is part of a design project, a gallery exhibition or a personal commission. It just is my favourite thing to do.  In trying to put it in to words, exactly why that is, I found myself thinking... it is the way it can bring something to life, add character, tell a story...or in another way it can hold something still, something you resonate with, an emotion, a memory, a single aspect of a moment. The tone, colours, texture and technique all contribute to what you are putting out there. And don't even get me started on paper stocks!
